By Tori Uhland. . . . . . . . .Softball is one of my greatest passions...I live for it. Nothing in the world is better than those summer nights spent on the diamond underneath the night sky and the bright lights. The crack of the bat, the whoosh of the ball, the voice of the umpire, the beat of footsteps...music to my ears.
It's really interesting to see where the game came from and how it was developed. From a game that was said to stand no chance against baseball, softball has kept the dream alive and so many people have supported it and its players through everything, even though there there is the unfortunate fact that are no more softball or baseball games in the olympics after 2008.
Looking at how it was then to how it has transformed into now is kind of amazzing. Hopefully, though, there will be more changes in the future, like a U.S. professional team. :)
